VE7REN (Brent) and VE7PBF (Frank) endured the ATV trip to the top of Mt. Baldy to install the new controller operated latching antenna switch. this allows the selectivity of two different antennas on Mt. Baldy, in case of failure.along with the switch and wiring . We plugged off some of the existing holes in the shack using spray foam and new aluminum patch was used, the Temperature Sensor was re-routed,and a protective shield was installed. We have got the shack the best it has ever been since being installed on the hill…both from a weatherproof standpoint, and heat value factor.to access temperature DTMF 248. this will respond with indoor and outdoor temps . Remember ,The Temperature read out is from on the top of the hill and not the lodge! The ICOM Repeater is working flawlessly. thanks to VA7BJP (Bob) for the controller work and wiring he has provided, and the club members for their support. below are some photos from Saturday September 21/2019. Before and After. Over and Out… VE7REN (Brent).

Many thanks to Oliver Osoyoos Search & Rescue (OOSAR) for providing the vehicles (UTV & ATV) and of course the Manpower to transport tools and equipment up to the top of Mt. Baldy to the VE7RBD Repeater shack, it was a very productive day with a lot of work accomplished, by VA7BJP (Bob) , VE7REN (Brent), VE7PBF (Frank) & VE7DOG (Paul), modifying the inside of the shack, by removing part of a separation wall, clean up the electrical wiring, installing a new electrical baseboard heater and installing the alternate repeater antenna facing North and installing Heliax coax cable into the shack.
