The Oliver Amateur Radio Club
Is a non profit B.C. Registered Society based in Oliver, B.C. in the South Okanagan region of British Columbia, Canada.
The club is for Amateur Radio Operators & Enthusiasts and also provides Emergency Communications in the Regional District of Okanagan – Similkameen,
The club was instituted in 1992 and currently has approximately 35 members.
Oliver Amateur Radio Club has a 2 meter (VE7RBD 147.160 MHz + ) Repeater site on Mt Baldy 2,303 meters/7557 feet, located 37.7 km east of Oliver, B.C. and a linked low level repeater (147.380 +) located near Osoyoos, B.C. Anybody with an interest in Shortwave Radio, Digital and Satellite Communications and/or Electronics or just curious about Amateur (Ham) Radio is welcome to join. The club will soon be offering a Basic Amateur Licence Qualifications course for those interested in obtaining an Amateur Radio Licence.
Congratulations! To the 7 New Ham’s that took the OARC Condensed Course over the Feb 8 & 9 weekend!
All 7 Students, took the Course and all passed the exam with over 80%. (Basic with Honours.)
